Has anyone out there applied for a State/Territory Sponsored Business Owner (Provisional) Visa 163? I'm not sure how many of us are out there as most postings seem to be from skilled visa applicants!
Myself & my partner are in the process of getting our application together & want to make sure we are as well prepared as possible. My business background qualifies us but now I have a few questions about the research needed to support our application. We would like to establish a new business in Western Australia.
My questions are:
If you have applied for this type of visa, how long did it take to be granted? (austimeline has only one successful person)
What level of research did you submit with your business plan?
How was that research undertaken (ie. by yourself, by a particular company, on the ground in australia)? Any idea of costs would be most helpful too.
Would you recommend anyone to assist with the market research?
Is it worth 'frontloading' an application to the SBDC with our medicals? Or better to wait until SBDC formally advise you of state sponsorship approval & put medicals in with DIMIA application forms?

Any pointers would be appreciated - I'm sure this is the first posting of many!
