HI THERE EVERYONE. HAS ANYONE EVER DEALT WITH OR HEARD OF A COMPANY CALLED AUSTRALIAN TRADE CONNECTIONS (ATC). THEY ARE A COMPANY WHO FIND SPONSORED EMPLOYMENT IN AUSTRALIA. IM JUST A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT HANDING MONEY OVER TO PEOPLE I DONT KNOW. THEY HAVE FOUND US A SPONSOR BUT REQUIRE AGENCY FEES UPFRONT £1050. ALL REPLIES WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED
That's confusing. Is the job they found you sponsoring you? In that case it is the employer who would pay the fees. Some of the agencies will sponsor you if you have found a job but the job doesn't sponsor and you need someone to sponsor you for the visa, in which case the agency will pay you your wage and they do look for you to pay the fees then. I'd definitely ask for some more information from them - what exactly you are paying for and who will officially be your employer and who will be paying you.
If they are a recruitment company they should be getting a fee from the employer not you. I would definitely ask them to explain what they expect you to pay for.
Hello all, The forum moderator at ‘gomatilda’ kindly notified me of the existence of this thread. I am the Director at Australian Trade Connections and I would like to assure all readers of this forum that all business dealing at ATC are legitimate and with the best interests of all parties involved (employers and prospective employees).
Immigrating to Australia is a life changing move and as such, I can appreciate the concerns of *Harrypan* and his/her want to obtain as much advice and information as possible. I invite anyone who is interested in ATC to contact me on the email address listed below I can then put interested parties in direct contact with their prospective employers as well as some of the many individuals and families we have assisted to make to make the move to a better lifestyle ‘down under’.
With respect to the owners of ‘gomatilda’ I do not wish to discuss business details in this forum.
Sincerely, Christine Fyfe Director Australia Trade Connections email: atc@bigpond.net.au
