We're just at the 'first bit' ie. I came home from work yesterday having spoken to someone who's actually going for it. Waited till the Wife was about to drop off to sleep until I quietly uttered those words....How dyu fancy..? (She thought I was after something else and conveniently did go to sleep) When I mentioned it again this morning I received a puzzled reply "Did I hear you right !!!!?". She went straight down to the travel agents to pick up some brochures and has now warned me to 'see it through or else !'... now that I've wet her appetite !! SO.....Help. Where do I go from here ? Seriously though, I've scouted through a few sites and online assessments and appear to have enough points. I am a drywall contractor (plasterbaord fixing/finishing)16 years experience -highly skilled (in my opinion ;-), but no formal qualifications associated with my trade (there are none ), My wife is a qualified nurse /midwife. Would we be better off using her as main applicant ?
Hi yes you would be better applying under your wifes occupation as it in demand as as skilled occupation, I have just been accepted and it has taken 18 months and i am a nurse.

...we have just been granted our Visas and we went through an agency called Ian Harrop and Associates 0208 540 8448. The guy that dealt with ours is called Zeno Bolzicco. We first of all thought that it would be a waste of money, but boy are we glad that we did go through an agency, it lifted so much stress from our shoulders. Give him a ring and good luck!
