Hi All,
Several Months ago I filed my Skilled Ind Immigration Application. I have got approval from ACS. I have been thinking about getting enrolled in Masters Program. The question is can I quit my job and get enrolled in Masters after lodging the immigration Application. Is it going to adversly affect my application. Cause at the time of lodging it I had enough experience to pass the basic requirements and points test.

I was told that as the work experiance is frozen when you apply, you could leave your job or be made redundant and it doesn't affect your case.

Unless I was told a pack of lies!

I would be a little cautious just in case your first effortat gaining a visa fails. In the event of needing to reapply how would a broken history affect the picture on 2nd application?

Given that the law doesn't change, the basic requirements in terms of work experience, etc would need to be satisfied on a subsequent application, so a period of study could create a problem ...


And as already noted, the basic requirements have to be met at the time the visa application is lodged, not at the time the application is decided.
