can anyone help me. main appl received in au 21st june. meds and pc,s sent mid jan. our son has a medical issue. if they were going to ask for more info would they have done so by now??? we are in contact with someone in au that has migrated from uk with the same condition as my son, does this mean if they have said yes to her will that make it more likely that they wont have a problem or does it depend on who picks up your med file. the cond is very rare, controlled by diet. he does have medication, this is just a dietary supplement, but is on prescription he also has bi-monthly blood tests and sees a consultant once a year and dietician twice. if the level of care is the same in au will this put us over the the threshold of what they allow money wise, we have heard nothing, from what i,ve read just about all the people that applied in june have beeen issued their visa. any insight or info you can give us will be gratefully received so thanks in advance from a very fed up stressed out visa applicant
Hi, I dont have an answer for you but I'm in a similar situation as my daughter has scleroderma. She has bi-monthly blood tests, presciption meds and consultant visits every 3 months or so plus annual eye and orthopaedic check ups. I was going to get a premedical report done before I start the visa process so i dont pay out agent fees in vain. Will be interested to know your sons outcome as i'm in a similar situation.
i will keep you posted. i know a family also that went on 4 yr sponsor visa who.s son also suffers from this cond. driving me crazy not knowing. wish they would just say one way or the other had our lifes on hold for over 15 mnths now and i,m getting to the point of saying bugger it and resigning myself to having to stay in this flipping country... last thing i wanted but not sure i can handle any more of this. sorry having a really bad day. by the way what is sclerderma ? the immi say that their main criteria is that the child will be able to live and work independantly. that wont be a problem for our son, he actually works already part time obviously after school a couple of days and weekends so hopefully this will work our favour.
Hi there, keep up your motivation and take small steps thinking about the lovely weather and lifestyle compared to the UK. I haven't even started the process yet. Scleroderma is an auto immune disease where the body attacks its own skin and underlying tissues so it causes damage and can restrict joints too. It can flare up or be dormant ( as it is now) There is a systemic form which, fortunately, my daughter doesn't have as its more serious.
hi just to update you, we got our visa,s !!! no problems didn,t even request further information, pain in the butt but we now have to go thro it all again for our elder non dependant son after receiving bad advice from our agent, needless to say we wont be using them this time ! what a relief it,s finally over. good luck with yours, let us know how you go
Hi, I'm really pleased things are going well now. I've just signed up (last week!) with an agent and doing my job search. I decided not to wait for a pre medical report for my daughter, just going to go for it. Just need a sponsor now! Best regards Della
