Hi, I have done nothing, except be on this computer for what seems like always. So any help - greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!
Somewhere I came across a page which gave prices of funding needed to retire out to Australia.
We are almost sure that we want to live there, we are coming as retirees, but am only held up by the distance from UK.
Ideally I would like to bring my parents out also, to live together in a property we wish to purchase.
Presently they live in a sheltered housing scheme, I know they have funds from which they take an income to extend their pensions, but the problem is that I don't like to pry into the amount they have invested.
I am sure it would be more diplomatic if I could tell them what thy needed rather than ask what they've got!
They are both 77, and first impressions tell me they would like to come. Obviously I don't want to get their hopes up if it is unacceptable for them to get entry.
If anyone knows of the magic figure, or can give any advice about moving them at that age, I would appreciate it. My Mum is disabled, but apart from not asking too much of her, isn't much different to any other 77 year-old. She does not rely on medical assistance.
Please help???
