| Wendy, I dare say it will be difficult for most to comment categorically on your husband's trade skills without looking into his situation in more detail. We can carry out a preliminary review of his work experience and qualifications to answer your questions, but perhaps inevitably we would charge a fee for so doing, of A$560 or £200 plus VAT. If this is of interest and/or you would like more details as to how we can help please send me an email. Best regards. quote: Originally posted by Mike and Wendy: Hello everyone - just starting out and already stuck.
My husband qualified via an apprenticeship as an electrician in 1981 and since then has worked as an electrical engineer, telecomms engineer, telecomms manager and is now a project manager for an electronic commerce company. He has picked up qualifications relating to his job i.e. project management certification and on the job training courses but has no degree.
He was going to apply to TRA for his skills assessment but was unsure if the work experience which requires a degree of electrical technical knowledge but isn't strictly speaking 'electrician' in the sense of the trade would meet the requirements for a skilled professional visa.
Anyone any experience of current job being loosly related to qualified trade?
