Hope to get some answers from some kind souls on these queries:

1) For our application covering myself and my wife, if I am able to meet the visa requirements better than my wife and thus I am to be the primary application under the category of Skilled Independent or State/Territory Nominated, does my spouse automatically gets the PR visa when I get mine? Does she need to meet any point score even though we choose to have me assessed only?

2) In relation to the above, if I wish to claim the 5 points (my wife meeting the basic requirements), would this require her to be assessed for meeting any point score or just meeting the basic requirements will do?

If you wish to claim the five points for your wife, she will need to meet the basic requirements plus have a positive skills assessment.
