I wonder if anybody can help...When your application is in process for immigration can you still visit Australia on an ETA? Will it cause any problems with the application as I have heard you cannot enter the country whilst it is being done.

we went to oz in july and august for a holiday. we submitted our visa application in may. the dimia state that you can travel to oz while visa is being processed, though you must not be in oz at time of visa being issued. if you are your visa app is cancelled. they require you to notify them on an official letter (change of circumstance form) gove them all the details of your travel arrangements ie when you are going and returning and a contact number or person who can get in touch with you while your away - should they have any q's for you.

this will then avoid them granting the visa while your on hols...... we got our visa granted back in sept!!! so it should be fine!!
