Me and my parnter hope to move over to Brisbane in a few years. We went to a migration expo and was told we would be able to apply for a visa under my partners job as a nanny. She has a diploma in this and has been a nanny/child care since leaving school/further education (9yrs ago) so she full time experience. We plan to use a agent to do the application for us and spoke to a consultant over the phone last wk and was told our only chance of getting a visa was via sponsorship as my partner has not been a nursey manager (apparantly on the list?). Sponsorship is not a route we wish to take as this can be a fast track route, when we are hoping to go ina few yrs when our finances are healthy (i.e no debts etc) and with the state of the housing market here in the UK we need it to build up again so we can sell our house without a loss. Does anyone know of a good migration consultant as the one we spoke to didn't really seem to know what they were on about. is there anyone in a simular position? My uncle lives in brisbane and is willing to sponsor to help us. My sister moved out there in Jan this yr (but obviously unable to help) and my partners Brother lives in Sydney and has his own business but Sydney is not on our radar.
