What happens if a child turns 18 whilst your application is being processed. We are just starting out now on the skilled - Australian sponsored route and depending how long the application takes to process our son may turn 18. Is he then counted as an adult for assurance purposes? Anyone know?

You will not have a problem, our son turned 18 in April this year. Our application (sponsored visa) was submitted in April 2002 when he was 17, and ws granted in June 2003. We also did not have to submit a bond for him as he was not 18 when the application was submitted.
