So im currently in oz on a tourist visa, and well turns out my gf is 8 weeks pregnant. im from Canada and was planning on returning in march but this baby thing changes everything, My gf is planning on keeping it and well id like to be around. DO i have any options open to me to stick around in oz Or does the Aussie government not care about pregnancy issues? I don't have proof or teh time frame of defector.

any help you can point me towards would be helpful.

If you can prove that you've been an official couple (defacto) for at least a full 12 months, you can apply for a spouse visa.

Proof of a genuine relationship is VERY difficult and a baby doesn't count.
