Just a quick query, our visa application was received in Australia 6th June 2005 and we received med requests and police checks on the 20th September which were sent off straight away and received by them 26th September, my query is how long is it usually before the pre-grant letter and as we are on the Modl I thought it was around 4 months from the visa application to the grant letter, is this correct or is it longer?

Hi Karen
It's supposed to be four months processing from date DIMIA acknowledge recipt of your application - but if you check out http://www.austimeline.com you can compare where everyone else is up to with their appllications - some are a bit less than the 4 noths, some are much longer!
