Does any one know how long your sposonser must have lived in that area?
Our sponser has just got her PR but has lived in Adelaide for longer.
We have heard we can not apply until she has been a PR for 1 year, although she has had a student visa and a working visa for a permanant job while waiting for her PR. Is that right or can we apply as by the time we get our visa she will have had her visa and lived there for over a year.

You should plan to lodge your sponsor forms and the supporting documents with your visa application.

The sponsor must be somone who is an Australian citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or what is called an eligible New Zealand citizen. Where you are applying for a Skilled - Designated Area Sponsored visa (subclass number 139) your sponsor must have lived in a Designated Area for at least 12 months and still be living there when your visa application is lodged at the Skilled Processing Centre in Adelaide.
