This one is for Alan or anybody else who can help. We have a friend here on the Sunshine Coast who is here on a student visa, he is doing a builder's course. The question is he's concerned that now the work experience has increased to 1 year and he will be over 45. Will this affect his chances of getting his PR or as he was involved in the student scenario before his 45th will he still be eligible. Seems a really grey area and nobody seems to know the answer, these guys have sold up lock stock and barrel from the uk and have set up home with buying a property here in Oz. Any thoughts would be much appreciated they're going out of their minds with concern.
Feel able to telephone my colleague Emma Smith-Jones if you or your friends want to discuss further, on Melbourne number 03 9935 2929.
Also, we will be pleased to assist with the permanent visa application in due course if help is required - again, Emma can discuss this.
Best regards.
