I am in the process of applying for PR through the ENS. On the application I had to agree to remain in the position for which I had been nominated for 3 years. I currently love my job and dont intend to leave but I have some questions:
1) If I did want to quit what happens? Do I get kicked out of the country? 2) Am I able to take up a similar position with a different employer? 3) Would it be acceptable to cut my hours down to part time?
I asked my agent the same sort of questions when I got my ENS visa.
The answers I got are:-
1) NO - once you have a PR visa you cannot get kicked out for changing your mind about who you want to work for. However your sponsoring employer may take a different view if they have forked out a lot of money to get you your visa - they may tie you into some sort of financial bond for a period of time but this this has not bearing on your visa status.
2) YES you can - you will be a permanent resident. The only restrictions would be jobs that require to be a citizen.
3) This one I think would be down to your employer to agree to. EG if you are female and had a child then I dont think there would be much of an issue. However I think your initial appointment would have to be full time (or whatever the ENS visa requirements state)/
