I am currently the Football Administrator at Sheffield Wednesday and am applying to move to Australia on a 175 visa with my boyfriend, as his brother already lives in Perth. I am filling in my skills application form as a Sports Administrator and would like to know if anyone has any idea of the process I will have to go through once I have paid my fee? Also my qualifications are a HND and a Professional Sports Management & Administration Certificate, does anyone know if this is enoough to be equal to an Australian Degree? I know the HND is equivalant to an english degree as I can add just 12 more months study on and get and honours degree, just not sure which standard an Australian one is?? Regards

I have an HND in Engineering - it is not considered as comparable to an Oz Professional Engineering Degree (which is 4 years of full time study). It is however equivalent to a Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree (3 years study). Oz qualifications tend to be a lot more stringent than UK ones. In the UK I was always considered as equal to my degree qualified colleagues - not so here I am afraid !
That said your qualifcations may be acceptable for whatever authority you have to apply to - not all of the assessment authorities require the applicant to be degree qualified - I got a positive skills assessment from Engineers Australia without a degree !
