hey there.i am interested in migrating to australia.i have applied in june 2007.my application was receieved by DIAC in july and acknowledged in november...it was a long wait.it is almost 10months now and i havent been asked for my medicals and police clearance yet.i am very worried at the moment.whichever site that i visit says that the processing time should only be 12 months.so adding from july,its already 10 months.can u please tell me what might the problem be?

The "problem" is that there are a large number of visa applications lodged at the Skilled Processing Centre - and as such the processing time has lengthened.

hey there.thanx 4 da prompt reply.would you have a rough idea that if the normal processing time before was say.. 1 year...how much would it be now due to the backlog at DIAC....
