Hi, I would like to introduce myself as Hashir Kidwai. I am currently working as a Software Engineer and Instructor in UAE University, UAE. I am planning to have my qualification and experience assessed by ACS for MODL 'Computing Professional C/C++' and 'Computing Professional Linux'. My main designation is Instructor but I have been actively working on different R&D Project since the time of my employment. My current work experience (12 months out of 4 years) can be described briefly as --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sept-07 to Present (Approx 30 hrs / week) IBM Cell Programmer (C Programmer) in IBM Cell Competency Center, College of Information Tech. UAE University. Sept-07 to Present (Approx 10-12 hrs/ week) Instructor, Lab development and Lab delivery for advance Under graduate Courses.
Mar-04 to June-05 (25 hrs/week) Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer
Assisted faculty members in investigating integration issues of the WLAN and 3G cellular networks in hotspots. Developed different node models in C/C++ and modified existing GGSN, SGSN models developed in Proto-C in OPNET modeler (A Network Modeling and simulation software). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience gained as a software Engineer on a pro-rate basis IBM Cell Programmer (1440 hrs) Embedded C/C++ programmer (1000 hrs)
Experience which can be gained as a full-time software Engineer _base_d on 38 hrs/week 1824 hrs
I would like to know based on the above information, Am I eligible for MODL points or Am I missing something? I would really appreciate somebody including moderator reply on this regards before I can throw away money on that.
