Hi My parents are going to australia on a 410 retirement visa. One sister is in oz with a permanent visa and the other with a student visa.Is there a visa i can apply for under these conditions. I am also thinking of going to New zealand first with a 23 mth working visa Thanks for any advise
Assuming you are not eligible for a skilled visa, or a business skills visa, your options are probably:
- a Working Holiday Maker visa (assuming you have a passport from one of the countries with which Australia has such an arrangement, haven't had such a visa before, and have no dependents)
- a student visa
- an employer sponsored visa (can be a temporary or a permanent visa)
Best regards.

Yes, but you would have to be a skilled person ... DIMIA booklet number 6 refers.
Best regards.
