My husband did his apprenticeship through Fas (government body), but it involved on the job training in a Cabinemaking Workshop. He has a Fas Certificate for Completion of his apprenticeship, but is this enough??

Just worried that the lastest change to TRA means if you didnt get formal training/college, then they refuse you! Is this the case?

He has his own business for the last 10 years making kitchens and fitting them. He was sponsored by an Australian Company 11 years ago and has 22 years experience.

Does he qualify?
Have started gathering all the paperwork (nightmare) together, references from Australia, UK etc.

I am very worried now. Can anyone advise.

Yes I contacted an agent. I was told the visa process in 3000 euros and agent fees is 3500 euros.

Sorry but thought the fees where a bit steep and setout to do research myself. Im a business owner myself, and quite used to filling out forms/tax etc, so think I will stick at it.

But you never know, if I run into difficulty, I might just do that.
