Workforce development remains the Australian Information Industry Association's top priority, new chief executive Sheryle Moon says.

She told an AIIA Adelaide function that industry strength continued to pose great demands for companies in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.

"Every CEO, every manager that I talk to, is finding it impossible, not just difficult, to attract sufficient numbers of the right skills, right here and right now," Ms Moon said. "So it will be no surprise that one of the key focus areas for the AIIA is in fact expanding the ICT workforce."
