Federal Parliament's Migration committee will hold a public hearing in Melbourne today as it inquires into the increasing number of temporary skilled migrants entering Australia.
Committee chairman Don Randall said they would be examining the adequacy of current eligibility requirements for temporary business visas.
He said the committee was investigating the granting of 457 temporary business visas to overseas workers and the impact that it has had on the Australian labour market.
