An inquiry into the controversial foreign work visa scheme would be held, the Federal Government said today.
The chairman of parliament's joint migration committee, Liberal MP Don Randall, said the inquiry would examine eligibility requirements and monitoring, enforcement and reporting arrangements for people on 457 visas.
The visas have been the subject of controversy, with Labor claiming companies have used the scheme to undercut Australian wages.
