Foreign labour recruitment agencies are making an aggressive push into the Australian jobs market with direct appeals for employers to hire Ukrainians and other Europeans on temporary work visas.

The recruiters are offering meat workers, welders, mechanics, panel beaters, chefs, hairdressers and even hotel staff in a drive to take advantage of local job shortages.
