It's a daydream many of us slip into on the 7.43 into work – let's ditch the job, sell the house, and travel to Australia.

But Graham Naismith and his wife Eirene took matters a step further and turned the dream into reality.

After Mr Naismith idly suggested sailing around the world, his wife put forward the alternative idea of driving to Australia.

Struck by the plan, they sold their house in Purley, south London, for £200,000 and used the proceeds to fund a 10-month overland trip.
