You may find it useful to speak to the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. When we opened our account with them we were given a special interest rate for about 3 months. If you transfer your money on a good deal then it may be worth moving it. Of course the other thing you want to think about is the exchange rate and if it is the best time to change your money into AU$.
