I'm 23 this year and just received my permanent residency visa; if I study in Australia, would I be entitled to youth allowance or any other allowances?

Thanks!

Newly arrived migrants are generally not entitled to any benefits for 2 years after their arrival.

To research this more fully see http://www.centrelink.gov.au/internet/internet.nsf/factors/newly_arrived.htm

Best regards.
