Hi I am a needing a bit of advice about transfering my english pension to australia.I know ithas to be in a qrop approved fund,but can I just find one on the net,then say to them I want to transfer itover to them? or do I have to be working over there before I can do it.Also what does it mean to me to be on a temp spouse visa with reguards to my money from renting my english house out?

Hi,

I'm in the same position as you. I spoke to my pension company the other day and they said there is nothing you can do until you have started a job and have a Super set up. As soon as you have the details of your Super you need to contact your UK pension company so you can get all the relevant forms filled in and get your pension transfered. I think I'm right in saying that you need to do this within 6 months. Phone your pension company and find out - can you let me know what they say.
