Does anyone know the best and cheapest way to claim for LAFHA in sydney. I am on a 457 visa but my employer don't pay LAFHA directly, so i can't get them involved. Also i haven't kept any receipts for living expenses - does this matter and can i still claim it?

Cheers

The LAFHA is a salary packaging exercise that apportions your total package between tax free LAFHA and taxable pay. It isn't an allowance or deduction you can separately claim I'm afraid.

See also the factsheet on the GM website (type LAFHA in the search box).

Best regards.
