I'm going to doing some work in Saudi soon but will be moving to Australia some time around April 2004.

Will I be taxed in Australia for my earnings in Saudi?

It depends on whether you are a tax resident of Australia when you are working in Saudi Arabia. If your aren't then I doubt your Saudi income will be assessable in Australia.

Best regards.

So what would happen if I set up a business in Saudi. Would I need to spend a certain amount of days outside of Australia in order to avoid tax?
