is this binding ? are you required to prove the amount then actually produce take it on day 1?

we have the proceeds from the sale of our house but don't want to have to commit all, want to see how it goes !

I already have the visa and nobody asked me to prove that I had the amount mentioned in the application form.

Same here. It was suggested that we put $20,000 as a minimum, but we ended up putting $15,000 just in case they did want proof. They never asked for it though. Doesn't sound alot but then there are only two of us!
