I am still waiting for my and my boyfriends WHVisas to come through and would really appreciate some MORE advice....

We have been told we must prove with a bank statement that we both will have $5000 (£2000ish) when we get to Melbourne.

QUestions are:
1) Who do we have to prove this to?
2) Does a UK bank statement suffice and if so does it matter if its a current account/ISA/saver account?
3) Is it better to transfer the money over to an Aussie bank account before we go?
