I am on the Gold Coast close to completing my studies on a 457 and am in the process of transfering my Uk pension, i have had a transfer value and have been using a company called Global Destiny to do the intial groundwork, before i go any further has anyone used this company for pension transfers. I went with them because of higher profile( TV ads) although that prob means nothing in this day and age!

I can recommend Global Destiny. It was originally run by a Brit but I'm not sure if he is still involved. However, they appear to be very efficient and transferred my funds fairly quickly. The hold-up (if there is one) is usually at the UK end.

They're not fund managers, i.e. they don't handle the investment of your pension. That's passed on to specialist companies, after consultation with you. So, if your fund value goes up or down in the future, it's not the fault of Global Destiny.
