Just a quick query about pensions. We are not sure of our future intentions at this moment but have just retired and I am considering taking out an income drawdown scheme with my pension pot until such time as I do make a definite decision. One of the possibilities is retiring to Australia as our son is out there.

I know that once I take an annuity I am stuck with that for life but I also know that some European QROPS schemes will allow transfers of Income Drawdown schemes that have already started paying out an income.

I appreciate that I will need to get professional advice in due course but does anyone know whether, if we came to Australia, we would be able to take out what would be an approved QROPS and transfer the funds from the Income Drawdown scheme into it?
