Hi Does anyone have any ball park figures for moving a three bedroomed house in the UK (family of 4) to Brisbane, and any reccomendations for shipping agents/movers.
You will probably need a 20ft container(25 cubic meters). Shiping cost is about £2500 add to that packing costs and packing materials, insurance in transit, storage costs (£125 per month) here in the UK while you organise yourselves in Brissie plus insurance costs for the storage (£50 per month). There may be port fees in Oz. Call Atlantis on 0121 451 1588 (they sent me a detailed price list)

Thanks Colin I shall work through the list and see what responses i get. I have also searched thro the mail archive and gleaned plenty of info from there, should have that first i suppose. thanks again.
Does anyone know approximately how much it would cost to ship a 3 bedroom home (less the American appliances) from the New York area to Sydney? I'm leaving the cars, yard tools, power tools, and some of the furniture as I see it. But, would be having everything packed and moved for me as well as stored for up to 3 weeks while there. I'm currently negotiating a contract and would like some rough numbers to base this on. Thanks in advance!
