Hi I would like to know what tax is due on a uk pension transfered to aust.Say I tranfer £150,000 pension into aussie fund when I move here, leave it in the 5 years untill I retire, then take as a lump sum,do I have to pay tax on it as it was money that was put into it in UK? or only tax on money earnt on it in aust from when it was transfered over. Thanks Lorri
You may find that all of the superannuation fund is available to you at retirement age on a free of tax basis ...
You can contact me directly if you would like to know more.
