hi ,could anyone please advise us on transfering money from the uk ,would it be best to use a oz bank or go though moneycrop who i dont know a lot about but they promise to get the best rate

We used HIFX when we moved our money over to Oz (they offer similar service to moneycorp) meant we could watch the exchange rate and decide when we wanted to buy. We did open a bank account in the UK with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (You can also open an account with HSBC)and transferred our money from HIFX into that account once it was changed to $. Commonwealth would change your currency for you but we preffered the flexibilty that was offered by HIFX (you can forward buy currency etc...)
