Just found out that on the 457 visa I have to pay school fees for my daughter. Whats the possiblilty of getting this paid for as well as medical costs by the employer sponsoring? How much are we talking, my daughter is in year 7 at secondary school. I'm a physiotherapist but have no post grad. experience. It might be hard enough getting a job in the first place never mind asking for all these costs covering too! I'm a single parent.

See your other post on this subject (in the Sydney section) for a link to the details you require. Fees I think will only apply if you move to NSW.

Cost is $4,500 per year up to year 10 then $5,500 for years 11 and 12 (remember there are only 12 years here which take a child up to the time when they would go to uni.).

You could try to get your sponsor to pay for them but they are not obliged to. Try and get them to agree to LAFHA though. If you dont know what this is then search elsewhere on this site !
