Hi,

I can remember reading in one of the forum topics someone mentioning a problem with HIFX sending money from the UK to Australia.

Can anyone enlighten me further?

I would stick this in Britishexpats.com for a wider audience - many of us would be interested!

The issue I think you are referring to pertains to transfers made by those who are living in Australia, in that hifx say that they are now required (as a result of financial servics regulations) to handle currency transactions of Aussioe residents through their office in Sydney, rather than via their office in Windsor (England).

If you want to follow this up you can call Naomi Naylor at hifx on +61 (0)2 9279 1123. You can also tell her Alan at Go Matilda sent you if you wish.

Does this help?

Cheers Alan, that is what I remember hearing/reading. I'll contact the Sydney office then!
