i am a teacher with 3 years exp. does anyone know what kind of salary i am looking at in sydney? will i be paid according to my exp or will i have to start at the bottom of the salary scale again?

Unfortunately I don't know the answer to this but I would love to know as I have over ten years teaching experience and am going to Adelaide later this year (after our house is sold). Any information from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

i think abnout $60k for a qualified teacher in melbourne. i do not know if the scales are national of state wide, i think state wide.

it is the same story as in the UK, teachers buying power has gone down over the last 20 years whilst the politicians has gone up!

there was a news story onit in the last week so try and check the newspaper websites.

Glad other people are finding it hard to find out about teacher salaries. I'm hoping to move to Adelaide but can't find out about salaries.!!
