Ok - so I call up the Post Office to ask about Family Investments i.e CTF's in which we invested - the reply 'sorry Sir, cant help - maybe you should try their website -

so I obtain a number from their website (one that I had already called twice before, and as it is on the statement) and I call once again - Ready for this - (ME as me, and FI as Family Investments)
(FI)they were quick to tell me that if the Child (Children in our case) was to move abroad, then they can continue to hold the CTF, and they will still be able to qualify for preferential tax treatment but they will not be entitled to receive any further Government contributions - which I think he said was when they reached the age of 7 - don't quote me on that , so after having this explained to me again, I asked the question that I really wanted to know the answer to -
