Does a Discretionary Trust Will Still work whilst on a Temporary Visa?

Yes it should and in fact it's probably a good idea to have it because if one of you dies while abroad with no trust in place then the survivor is only exempt from inheritance tax up to gbp 55,000.

With the will and trust in place your instructions will be carried out after all you are still liable for inheritance tax while on a temporary visa as you have not satisfied requirements for a change of residence.

To set your mind at rest have a quick word with your lawyer or financial planner who organised this for you. I am no expert!!
